I was lecturing at Christ Church University in Canterbury this week and part of my lecture mentioned the amazing work of Marcus Buckingham with the Gallup Organisation.  It was quite staggering that the Business Studies students, who were at the end of their degree course, had not heard of him, nor of Gallup.  I can remember hearing about Buckingham's work years ago whilst the head of L&D for a very large organisation (35,000 people) and being incredibly impressed by the work he was doing, particularly around strengths (at a time when many organisations were focussing on 'fixing' perceived 'weaknesses').

Here's a great video clip of Buckingham talking about Outstanding Leadership - enjoy!
